Over the past six years, Freedom has experienced exciting and significant growth, both in the nature of the clients we attract and the services we offer. And it’s this expansion that prompted us to rethink how we look.
The Freedom of today is vastly different from the Freedom of six years ago, and our branding needed to reflect that evolution. Our previous branding no longer represented the highly collaborative nature of our services, nor did it align with the calibre of clients we now work with and aim to attract.
So began the rebranding journey.
Our rebranding is more than just a new logo or a refreshed website; it’s a comprehensive overhaul of our visual and verbal identity. And while we are sharing a little of it today, there is still lots more in the pipeline to come over the next few months.
The new look and feel of our brand have been carefully designed to convey our commitment to collaboration, quality, and professionalism. Stronger colourways and a refined colour palette evoke feelings of clarity and confidence. This new visual identity is more than just aesthetically pleasing; it signifies our commitment to providing high-value, impactful marketing services.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice one very significant change; the removal of “CS” from our name. We’re now simply using “Freedom,” a name that better encapsulates our mission. As your fully outsourced marketing department, we free up business owners like you to focus on what you do best, while we handle your marketing needs. This shift underscores our promise: to give you – the business owner – the freedom to take back control of your time.
Our messaging has also been refined. We wanted to clearly communicate our value as a long-term partner working in close collaboration with clients like you to achieve your business goals. Our success depends on yours.

The rebranding process began in February 2024 and has been a fascinating journey of discovery and transformation. Juggling the rebrand alongside our continued business and team growth has certainly presented some challenges. The “Cobblers’ Shoes” analogy springs to mind and balancing our own marketing efforts with our growing client list and sizeable projects was no small feat.
To achieve the new brand aesthetic we desired, we engaged a brand designer. This decision proved invaluable as it allowed us to gain an impartial perspective on the next evolution of our branding. The designer forced us to think deeply about the type of work we want to do and the future clients we want to attract. Their interpretation of our vision was exciting to see.
Working with an expert designer also really highlighted the limitations of our previous DIY branding. As a team of writers, not designers, the original branding was functional but lacked the reach and appeal we needed. The professional redesign has provided us with a brand that truly represents our business today and our ambitions for the future.
And, of course, it was interesting to go through a process our clients often also undertake.
The primary goal of our rebranding is to reposition Freedom in line with the client base we now work with. To be seen as the premium, quality-driven marketing agency our existing clients already know we are, delivering exceptional results for the clients we work with.
This new positioning will help us do more of the work we love for clients who value and appreciate our expertise. With the rebrand increasing our brand visibility, our team will grow in line with our expanding client base.
As mentioned before, we have also tweaked our name. By dropping “CS” from our name, we eliminate the need to explain what it stands for (in case you’ve wondered, it stood for the services we provide: copywriting, content and consultancy), simplifying our identity. It’s important to shift the perception from “Liz and her team” to “Freedom, an established team of experiences professionals” with a proven track record of satisfied clients.
Although it’s early days – in fact, the rollout is only just getting started, initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Clients and stakeholders appreciate the new look and feel, recognising it as a true reflection of the quality and professionalism they associate with working with Freedom. The rebranding journey has been enjoyable and enlightening, reinforcing the importance of aligning our brand with our business’s evolution and ambitions.
